The 76ers were led by Thaddeus Young’s career high 32-points as the visiting team walked away with the victory 114-101. Philadelphia avenged a loss from their last trip to Canada with a well balanced all around play. Young took advantage of being in the starting lineup, taking the place of Samuel Dalembert. The Sixers held an 8-point led 55-47 at intermission, and never looked back.

Andre Iguodala added 16-points, with 10 assists, and Elton Brand had 12-points, and 9 rebounds. With the win, the 76ers snap a 5-game losing streak, as they now travel to Indiana for a matchup against the Pacers on Tuesday, at 7:00PM EST.

Through the efforts of the Andre Iguodala Youth Foundation, and the AAU squad, Andre empowers children from all walks of life to get the most from their opportunities by focusing on education, and sports.

The mission of the AIX AAU team is to find talented basketball individuals and allow them to develop their God-given abilities in a faith based environment that eliminates as much financial obligation as possible. Our goal is to provide an environment that turns young boys into elite basketball players and citizens on a local, regional, and national level by developing their character, morals, self esteem, and skills through a comprehensive basketball club structure. We strive to honor ourselves and God by:

Pursuing athletic and moral excellence
Respectfully submitting ourselves to authority
Initiating reconciliation in conflict
Emphasizing team success over individual achievement
Conducting ourselves with integrity and humility on and off the court.

Last night the 76ers were in northern California to play against the streaking Warriors.

Golden State had won a few games in a row before matching up against the Sixers on Tuesday. Philadelphia was in control throughout the game, taking a 66-48 edge into the intermission. It was in the 2nd half that the Warriors began to claw back, and with a flurry of 3-pointers they were on the 76ers doorstep in the 4th quarter.

Lou Williams had a hot hand with five 3-pointers, and 10 rebounds, both career highs for 28-points. Williams started in place of Allen Iverson, who is out indefinitely with a personal matter. Andre Iguodala remained steady with 22-points, 7 assists, and 4 steals. It was Iguodala that helped to seal the game as he hit a jump shot with 45.5 seconds left to advance the lead to 105-99. The team effort resulted in another win, giving the Sixers a 22-34 overall record.

They will continue their road trip tonight in Phoenix, against the Suns at 9:00PM EST.

Andre Iguodala had 20-points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists, and Lou Williams pitched in with 14 of his 20-points in the final 12 minutes giving the 76ers a 33-18 edge over the Spurs in the 4th quarter.

Prior to the game, Iguodala was presented with his Team USA jersey as he is one of several players selected to tryout for the World Championship Games this summer.

Tonight the 76ers are in Chicago making their first stop on the road trip to play the Bulls. Game time is scheduled for 8:00PM EST.

Andre Iguodala led the 76ers’ 119-97 victory with 24-points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists, and Elton Brand added 21-points to push the win streak to 5-games.
The 76ers hosted the Bulls tonight at the Wachovia Center.

The team played shorthanded, as they were without the services of All-Star guard Allen Iverson, who was away from the team with a personal matter. Nevertheless, Andre Iguodala stepped up his game leading the 76ers to a 106-103 overtime win. Iguodala’s defense of Derrick Rose down the stretch, as well as some key baskets sparked the Sixers in the 4th quarter…and his 3-pointer in the extra period helped seal the deal with 1:19 to go.

He finished with 25-points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Elton Brand added 26-points, and 9 boards to ensure the team’s 17th victory. During the post game interview, Andre expressed his thoughts on the win saying, “I think it was a good win…it’s been a tough year for our team…but we’re not that far out [of the playoff race]…”

This marks the 5th time that the Sixers have won 2-games in a row this season.

The 76ers will travel to New Orleans to face the Hornets on Friday, February 5th. Game time is scheduled for 8PM EST.

Amidst the trade talk and rumors, the Philadelphia 76ers continue to play hard, as evidenced in Friday’s 99-91 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers. Tonight they stayed constant with an offensive attack that began with a spark off the bench from Lou Williams, and Rodney Carney, en route to an 83-79 win over the Nets.

New Jersey held a 48-46 lead at the half, however Philadelphia began to battle back as Andre Iguodala tied the game at 50 with a jump shot. He led the team with 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Sammy Dalembert add 12-points, and 11 boards, as the 76ers added win number 16 to the season.

The team will be back in the mix on Wednesday as they play host to the Chicago Bulls…game time is scheduled for 7:00PM EST.
