Gold Rush
Last night the 76ers were in northern California to play against the streaking Warriors.
Golden State had won a few games in a row before matching up against the Sixers on Tuesday. Philadelphia was in control throughout the game, taking a 66-48 edge into the intermission. It was in the 2nd half that the Warriors began to claw back, and with a flurry of 3-pointers they were on the 76ers doorstep in the 4th quarter.
Lou Williams had a hot hand with five 3-pointers, and 10 rebounds, both career highs for 28-points. Williams started in place of Allen Iverson, who is out indefinitely with a personal matter. Andre Iguodala remained steady with 22-points, 7 assists, and 4 steals. It was Iguodala that helped to seal the game as he hit a jump shot with 45.5 seconds left to advance the lead to 105-99. The team effort resulted in another win, giving the Sixers a 22-34 overall record.
They will continue their road trip tonight in Phoenix, against the Suns at 9:00PM EST.
